Release Strategy Pro is a separate, for-profit business that offers optional, paid strategy sessions for people who want interactive support as they apply those free resources to their own situations.

While the two organizations serve different purposes, they share a common goal: helping people make informed decisions as they navigate the justice system.

Free Education Remains Free

Thirty percent of every purchase through Release Strategy Pro is donated to Prison Professors. This support helps ensure that free educational resources — books, guides, lessons, and tools — remain available to anyone who needs them, with no cost or requirement to buy anything.

Paid Opportunities for Formerly Incarcerated People

A portion of the donated revenue supports paid roles for justice-impacted individuals who contribute to content development, operations, moderation, and other work that strengthens Prison Professors' offerings. This expands impact while honoring the skills and contributions of people with lived experience.

Our Commitment

Providing high-quality, free education requires time, expertise, and resources. While Prison Professors makes its materials freely available, operational costs still exist — from hosting and publishing to research, curriculum development, and maintenance.
